K20 EG Track Car.

New tyres for this year...

225 45 15 Dmack DMT-RC

This size tyre shortens my gearing even further, resulting in the following in gear speeds @ the 8600 limiter.. should be fun!

1st - 36 mph
2nd - 55 mph
3rd - 77 mph
4th - 96 mph
5th - 119 mph
6th - 149 mph

Finished up the splitter and got the new tyres on, painted the front wheels to match the rears...not far off ready for this years antics now!

Absolutely perfect eg, great job on the splitter mate

Those rims expensive? What size are they?
I've got a similar lip coming for mine. Glad it looks well!

Thanks... it is my perfect EG for sure... except for maybe a Rotrex on there!

Just got the spoiler to sort out and its done for now.

I picked them up used, think you can still buy them new direct from Team Dynamics.. they are Pro Race 1, 7x15 et35. I believe they did an 8x15 which I'd prefer to run TBH...

Dont you have TC05's already or am I mixing your car up with another one?

Yeah that's me.
Sorry I thought they where 8" already, the tyres don't look overly wide on the rims and being 225 made me think 8".
That's interesting then. Perhaps I could get away with 215-225 on mine.

The tyres only measure 210mm across which I was a little disappointed in tbh as thats the same as a 205 Direzza and my 225 AD08's were actually 225mm as you would expect, hence they dont bulge on the 7" rim. Hope the compound more than makes up for this as they are meant to be very good in the dry.

I would be intested in the TCo5's if you find some 8's to replace them... one of my favorite wheels. Pair of 8x16 et28 on k20'org at the mo but too rich for me!

Ah right that's why then.
I'm not actively looking for a new set but if some happen to be thrown in my face and ive got the cash I'll buy them.
I'll be starting my 12mm splitter soon aswell. Hopefully this is stiff enough.

Yeah I dont hold much hope for 12mm being enough.. mine looks to have too much flex in the centre... I think I should have matted it in fibreglass like I had planned at the start...

Oh shizz,
My next plan was to carbon skin the plywood to get some more strength if the 12mm wasn't enough, much like your fibreglass Matt idea I suppose. 15mm just seems too thick to me, would look silly imo

Can you not use a pair of toda to support it at the front? Or is it behind the bumper that's bowing?

I'm not sure yet as I've not tested it... I'm sure I can sort it but I want it to be quick and easy to remove still...

Perhaps fibreglass the top side and stick some metal rods in the fibreglass to act as a brace
