K20 EG Track Car.

"Im gonna stop chasing him. Itll only end up in tears!" had to watch the vid again. Nice track car!

Thanks guys.

I've dropped the rear spring rates to 8k from 12k as it was too twitchy for my liking although turn in was great I just wasnt confident with it in the fast corners.
I've also gone to 15" ProRace rims up front... having read they cleared 300mm brakes I picked a pair up used but upon test fitting them they touched the caliper... so I've opted to run bolt on spacers as the incresed track helps turn in... I will possibly look for something else to replace them tbh as I'm still not 100% happy with the setup. The prorace are currently fitted with Dunlop Dirreza 03G in 205 50 15 which only have a trackday left in them really so I'll be replacing them with 225 45 15's when the time comes, this will shorten my gearing a little from the 16" setup which is a bonus.

Hope to have the flocked dash back and re fitted this week and I've removed the pair of Bride rep seats in favor of a single Corbeau Pro Sport which is slightly lighter and better fit for me. The removal of the passanger seat/harness and more trimming of the dashboard I did before flocking should result in abit more weight reduction...

I was intending to buy a pair of Special Project side skirts from the U.S but couldnt bring myslf to spend that much on something so basic! So I going to attempt to make my own in the coming weeks...

That seat is pretty old school! The right era for the age of the car I would of thought, nice find!

Yeah I'd guess late 80's early 90's too, suits the car better, gonna get a new harness too... probly a Willans as I feel they look pretty old school too!

good choice, they're pretty well made, I had one for years, it was probably a similar age to that seat!

yer man in the Tvr was a bit of a pussy haha he could have passed you like 4 times.

Lovely car man im gettin the same lip for my yoke

Splitter looks good man, would there be any benefit to having it stick out from the bumper more?

Car looks great also :)

What thickness you go with? I had flex issues with 9mm

Yeah the more it sticks out the more you gain but you have to consider that more downforce will pull the front end down so you have to compensate by upping the spring rates... I have little room to go higher on my rates at the front without changing my shocks so starting small. Also too much downforce at the front will unbalance the car as I have no rear aero at all at the moment... altho I do plan to do something soon.

This is 12mm I'm trying..

Yeah we had issues on my sons car with 9mm even with the stabilizers attached to the front edge, altho his lip was around 100mm so too big really (his choice not mine!) mine only petrudes 40mm.

Yeah mine came out around 3" and although I could stand on it with the stabilisers I wasn't happy with it.
I'll probably go 2-2.5" with the thicker board this time round.
You coating the splitter with anything other than paint? Interested to see how yours comes out.

I dont plan on coating this version its just a test piece.. If and when I have a final design i may put a few layers of fiberglass matting on (my sons work do this) but I dont want too much time and effort in it so its easy to replace if needed.

Good weekend on the car.. Dash in, sideskirts made and fitted and started on the splitter mounts!
