Right this is a long story but please if you know anything about hondata units or have experience something similar before please bear with me.
Right bought a brand new hondata unit which was professionally installed to my used p30 by Will at RDT ( this is not a rant or anything bad about Will or his work he's a true professional) all was working fine put the car on the trailer and bought it home it was garaged as more work was needed before car could be used (engine 100% finished tuned running) the car was started on regular occasions warmed up ran a while and switched off (not driven just engine running) again all was fine until one day came to start it, it started but was running lumpy and backfiring contacted Will he remote linked to the ecu and spotted TPS signal was not being received correctly so bought a new genuine honda tps from local honda dealer fitted it had it set but problem persisted so it wasn't that then decided to get rid of my p30 as is nearly 20 years old and bought a fully tested presocketed p28 from H-tune to rule out it being the base ecu get this all installed and sorted but the problem was still there so now the car has spent 3 days at the auto electricians ( at significant cost) and he has gone through the wiring with a fine tooth comb and found no faults anywhere so I'm left with a brand new hondata that's seen about 1 hours running time and now appears to be faulty does anyone have any idea what can cause this? Anyone heard of this fault before?
What exactly happens is when the ignition is on but engine off the tps reads perfectly with the hondata software but the moment the car starts the signal becomes erratic and iregular jumps about, doesn't read then does then doesn't again
Any ideas?
