Endless were just about to map my ek9 on s300 today and it wont accept any tuning - bad.

Hondata have been contacted and just say "Send it back to us"

Would anyone be able to lend me a remappable Ek9 FL ecu for a few days please? will sort a deposit if needed of course.

You need a P28/P30. Are you sure the ecu has been socketed properly?

I have got a DASTEC Unichip piggyback ecu for sale and a Eurospec2000 socketed P28/P30 ECU with harness also for sale if any help.

its not been apart, It worked fine before the rebuild.

Check over all soldering joints before you do anything.

Rich not sure what you mean, the Ecu has never been apart and was bought new.

OK, can't Daz supply you with a chipped ecu? That way he can tune in on Chrome /Ectune /Neptune.

Same thing happened to me recently when trying to map a s300 it became totally unresponsive. We swapped daughter board over into another s300 prepped Ecu and still wouldn't work. All solder joints on board looked fine so could only assume a component failed. S300 was old so no warranty.

I've seen before where the solder joints on the 4 pin datalogging header were bad and caused all kinds of issues so I'd check that.

I have check the board over and all looks fine.

The S300 won't except the new firmware update, and this won't allow any uploads to the ecu at all.

If I tune the car on an obd1 setup on neptune then Lee will have to pay more money for another ecu + an adaptor harness and then a licence fee for Neptune. Which is almost as much as buying a new s300. I am trying to borrow an s300 for him to use this weekend, but nothing is appearing.

You can't transfer tuning from Neptune to hondata so if I used 1 of my ecu's lee would have to pay for 2 lots of tuning which isn't fair and I wouldn't do it.

I will send his s300 back to hondata as asked by them.

If someone has an S300 we could borrow I can tune the car ready for him, and then when his repaired s300 is returned I can upload the tune to that s300 check it and he's good to go.

I have an S300 you can use if your stuck, unsure if its obd2a or obd2b though as it has pinouts for both!?!

Thats what im unsure of, it will need a conversion harness if its an obd2a though.

It's a facelift one I'm after mate, any chance you could check?
Is it the whole ecu or the s300 circuit board?

The ecu has to be obd1 if it has the S300 installed. It should plug into your conversion harness without a problem.

Its the whole ecu, It says its a obd2a but there are pins on it for the obd2b configuration. thats why im not sure what its meant to be. or if those pins have a different function.
