Gym/Fitness thread


Keep a flapjack for after work or make a sandwich and eat it at 5. My job is quite good in that I can eat every 2 hours :)

Yea agree with this or no-xplode, you being on empty stomach this stuff will give you bigger boost. You should try get even scoop of whey protein in you prior to training... Be hard training on empty stomach.

excatly :) ur last meal is way to far apart from your next one,get some whey and a piece of fruit in you before you go only takes 2 secs to drink

i eat at 7.30,10,12.30,3.15,5.30,7 and then 10ish usually
 
anyone know a good site to get whey protein and the likes? only place near me is H&B and their stuff looks gash! lol

been using this hurricane xs for a couple months now and had a few different flavours, chocolate smooth is by far the best for me, just tasted like a good milkshake. Id ache for days if i didnt use this but when using it im usually pain free after 1 day of rest but i have been neckin 3servings a day

I'm sure I read somewhere that jack3d was being classed as a drug soon.

I use pulse from myprotein.co.uk they're doing a lot of bundles the now saving a decent wedge of cash.
Def agree with having something to eat about an hour or so before the gym.

i would if i could, but by the time i get home from work its too late to start cooking up something and then waiting for it to settle before hitting the gym! hence supplements or a quick snack i think.

this time being away offshore ive not had any and i dont have the same motivation and not lifting as much

Prep something before you go to work ? I've been in the same boat, you dont want to sacrifice time in the gym by having something to eat etc. Can save some decent money if you make your own protein bars too.

The more I read into it getting re classed the more confused it makes me. If you're having trouble lifting the same weight, try mixing it up and dropping the weight but increasing the reps for a couple of weeks to try and kick start your muscles again.

is that pulse for muscle growth or energy? as the hurricane xs im using is 30 odd quid for 2500g and it seems expensive and wondering if theres anything just as good but cheaper for muscle growth?

Pulse is just for energy, got a bit of a unique taste to it as well.

Try using the myprotein bundles they have on offer for cheaper stuff.
 
anyone know of any other good sites? tried ordering stuff off bodybuilding.com but they won't ship half their stuff to the UK!!! :angry:
