Engine swap

98spec just has a different header, final drive is 4.785 but the 4th and 5th gear are taller.

The intake cam is a little more aggressive (negligible difference)

you can see what year the engine was produced on the small circles above the exhaust ports. In your avatar picture, it would be above the silver heat shield near the dipstick loop.

The year is actually printed into the block is it?

Is it not cheaper & less hassle to stroke your own engine? 55k is a nice low mileage + you know your own cars history?

Usually any work that involves stripping the engine down costs big money here and dont think id trust any of them to do it either:nono: Would be nice alright to put a spoon stroker kit in it as my engine and gearbox+1.5way lsd are in great condition

Has anyone bought or know some one that has bought a engine from these guys JapPerformanceParts.co.uk am thinking about buying a B18C off them just wanna know if there ok to deal with

Im thinking of keeping my own s4c box as it has a 1.5way lsd and the price of a integra box is expensive. Will this bolt straight up to the b18c? Are the clutch and flywheel the same on the b16b as b18c?

How much are they asking & what mileage m8? I believe clutch & flywheel are interchangeable.

Yep the s4c box will bolt straight up to the b18c:nice:

Right lads im going looking at a b18c engine and its meant to be a 98spec im abit worried that it may not be a 98spec or even a real b18c ITR engine. The rocker cover is a mugen one, I know this could of easily just been changed but is there any way by looking at the engine number to know if this is a ITR engine or a Integra SIR engine? Was there someone on here who looked at a EK9 recently that was suppose to have a b18c fitted that had a mugen cover??

I hope it aint the same one :nono: Saxo vts where were you looking at this car for sale?

Top Fuel Imports in clare from what I can remember...

Cheers Anto. Must not be the same as they still have that car hasnt been stripped or anything. Can anyone tell me what numbers the 98spec b18c engine number begins with?

Was off a fella up in Dublin, didnt bother going looking as he was meant to send me pics of it and never did. I think I will just order one over off Jap performance parts they seem to be fairly reliable
