Nothing against your work mate, I just don't want them red . :nice:

Well little update for the weekend. Last coat on the brakes, will leave over the weekend to dry.

I know it's not to everyone's taste I.e. gold....
But I think they'll look good. :x:

Also I've bought some Parts off @DB8 TYPER that should turn up next week....
Will be doing some bits in the garage tomorrow in preparation for what's turning up next week

Love the work going into this. That exhaust manifold refurb is phenomenal!

NSF brake built up, ready for the weekend.

And this came in the post today!

Just a new ecu and your set, doing all the mods I'd like to of done. Wasn't you tempted to upgrade the brakes while you had them off ? Spoon 4 pots or ATR twin pots ?

New Ecu and Dyno on the 4th or Feb mate.
I will at some point but I'm happy with the standard set up for now.

You should come to santapod on the 19th of March bud. It's a RWYB Saturday night special. Would love to see what she can do with all your recent work.

I might well do! Although I don't think she's suited to 1/4 mile drags

Well my day started well  got the brakes all done and dusted.
Then I fitted the new inlet manifold, all went well again.
Started her up all good, ran for about a minute, developed a stutter then cut out and wouldn't start again.
Turns out I have no spark :megusta:
Checked the coil supply and signal all ok. Then checked the coil and I'm pretty sure it's FUBAR.
Just my luck really, anything I do at the moment something else unrelated goes wrong!
I'm scared to go for a piss incase it falls off!!!

Ah well it's all sent to try us! I still love it though!

I've had that kind of week too mate, don't worry you're not alone! Car's coming along lovely though!
Thanks dude :nice: I just need to get her running! I'm in at Eurospec for a p28 and dyno on the 4th of Feb! :nerv: Looks like @jesse888 is sorting me with a dizzy though! So fingers crossed all will be ok.

Well I got it sorted! Did some tests and found it to be the coil.
Managed to get one through work. I now have a spare dizzy from @jesse888 that I'm going to rebuild as a spare :nice:
http://www.ek9.org/index.php?threads/ek9-ignition-coil-dizzy.70828/#post-786721

So got it all running, just need to set the dizzy timing and idle speed on the weekend.

Also I bought some gauges that I'm putting in place of the radio head unit, got the fascia coming tomorrow.
I built a nice little loom tonight using the old radio wiring plug.

Hopefully get them fitted over the weekend, then next Wednesday off to Eurospec :)) Cannot wait!!!

Finished setting up the car today for Wednesday's dyno.
I set up the throttle position sensor, and set the distributor timing.
Set the TPS sensor to 0.48V CT, and 4.8V WOT.
And swt Ignition timing to 16degrees BTDC.
Took her for a test drive and all is good, can feel the difference already with the manifold and 70mm TB, will be even better once it's mapped.

Fitted the gauges also. But the oil temp sensor is faulty :( so need to get another sensor.
Oil pressure gauge works well though.
Reads about 82psi plus under acceleration, reads about 25psi at idle.

Here's a pic of the brakes all back together. I think they look smart.
