EK9 Race Base


Got anymore pictures of that strut bar next to your seats. Never seen any like that before .....
 
Not much has happened recently, I’ve just been enjoying the car to be honest!



I was booked on the EK9.org stand at Japfest, so as usual the car show prep was carried out and the car given a good polish!

Morning of Japfest we were up stupidly early, alarm went off at 3:00am! After we got off the ferry me and my mate in his 400+hp MR2 stopped for fuel!

A few hours later we finally made it up to Silverstone! Somehow I didn’t get any pictures of the stand?! Only photos I have on my phone are my mates MR2 (which I had to clean off for some reason haha!) and a lovely R34 GTR.

My good friend Jamie who has a company called FYD did a Vlog on the day we had, well worth a watch!






I’m not sure if it’s time to sell now, I’m in two minds still! After 6 years of Hondas I feel like it’s possibly time to change!
 
Are you sure this is a race base ek9? It has the full ek9 black type D interiors with ek9 climate control, maybe the previous owner swapped in all the ek9 interior pieces?

A very clean ek9 you've got there nonetheless.

Ek9 race base interiors, basically a normal gray ek2 interiors with ek9 clock.

Well its got no airbags, abs and its got the wind up windows haha! The seat rails are recaro low seat rails which would suggest that the recaros were fitted at a later date?!
 
Not only the recaros, I think all your plastic interior covers are swapped with standard black ek9 interiors, which is a good thing. :nice:

The race base come with a boring gray plastic cover interiors and gray cloth seats which are meant to be gutted.
