EJ9 Owner UK South West


Well today (well late this evening) I've ordered myself some Springs, so hopefully it looking like a moon buggy shall not be the case for much longer.
 
Nice updates mate :nice: Buddyclubs looks excellent with that colour. What make of springs did you end up going for? :)
 
Thank you Dougal, I think a lot of people will frown at what springs I got, I decided to go with Spax 45mm Springs, on most civics it seems to lower level or lower the front a little more.

I'd rather have the front lower than the back etc, and generally most people have a good or ok experience with Spax springs. I know it'll probably make the ride feel a bit bumpy, but then again what springs don't?

Right, rather annoyed. Ordered the Springs which were "available" only for them to send an E-mail saying they were going to be about 2 - 3 weeks. So I've asked for my money back.

Also the disc and pads (Ferrodo OEM spec ones) are 2 - 3 weeks as well, so hopefully getting the money back from them.

It's ridiculous, because now I've gotta wait and get my money back before I can actually order some that'll come ASAP. You send your money and it's instant but the other way round? No sodding chance.

Ordered my lowering springs today, went with Eibach as it seems like it's all the "rave". :)

I shall do buddy. I'm quite excited to see how it'll look once it's on the springs, but bare in mind it'll take me a while, I've gotta change my springs etc on my driveway when I'm not a college. :angry2:
 
Hey, I'm gonna watch this one pretty closely, I've got basically the same car. Haha. Tahitian Green EJ9. Pretty much standard too. :p I've got the colour-coded bump-strips though, don't want them if I'm honest, I prefer the black.

But yeah, nice find man, a lot cleaner than mine as far as the engine bay goes. Haha.

Ahaha, yeah it's nice to see another Tahitian Green EJ9. It's odd, since putting mine up on Ek9 etc there seems to be more of them popping up. I like the whole colour coded bumpstrips, how comes you don't?

I was tempted at one time to gloss black mine, but I think colour coding them would look better.

You think? It was cleaner in the engine bay, got a couple of splashes and some slight corrosion happening on the Suspension struts though, also need to paint my rocker cover as the paint has gone on it. Think i'll just paint mine silver again, not too sure.

'Cause I'm goin' for the carbon bonnet, boot, spoiler and EK9 front splitter.
Made an exact copy of mine on Forza and then modified it, so now I know exactly what I want and exactly how it'll look. Haha. :nice:

Well I'll probably be doing a red interior so I went for the red rocker cover with the Honda badge scraped back to proper silver, I think it looks really good with the colour like. :)

Ah fair does, pretty easy job though, couple coats, leave it over night, one or two more, bake it in the oven for a wee while and boom, done. :win:

So you don't reckon it'll suit then? I thought it might. But fair enough. :)

Yeah I dunno, I think red in the engine bay clashes, but I may look at yours once or twice and think otherwise. I just want mine reasonably tidy before Japfest.

I don't know, It could like don't get me wrong, I've never seen one in proper mint condition silver. I was actually looking at purple at one point. Haha. At the end of the day, it's whatever you think looks good.
Tbh, I've never seen one in our colour with the red interior either, so that could clash.

That's fair, I doubt mine will be ready for any shows for a good long time. :L

Yeah, it's just toying with the idea till you reach a conclusion really. I certainly like they way you are going with yours. All seems to suit well, I think red interior wouldn't look to bad to be honest, as it's already black inside pretty much.

I could sort of say the same with mine, just for my own record of achievement I suppose. :lol:

We'll just have to see. Haha. A cheap enough mod doing the carpets really, so that could be one getting done sooner rather than later. :))

Ach why not, eh? I would like mine to look okay for the Scottish Modified Car Show but I can't see that happening. Haha.

Well good luck with this project like, it'll be interesting to see two cars that started almost identical change over time. :)
