Hello guys, had an EJ9 for a month now so thought I best get on the forums.

The names Ben, i'm only 18 at the moment so doing any modifications at the moment is limited. Also the fact this car is pure stock and only done 48k miles!

Anyways, you'll no doubt want a look at it. So here goes :))

The front, not looking particularly great yet

The rear debadged and de-stickered looks a lot tidier in my opinion

And the reasonably tidy engine bay

Oddly the car looks more blue in the pictures but it's actually a Blue/green. It's classed as green but i'd never say it's green.

Any idea's what I can do to the front end? Needs a lip and a different grill to me.

welcome to the forum mate, car looks mint ! body work and engine bay are very clean, good find :nice:
Set of wheels, lowered, front lip and that and you'll be jammin ;)

Thank you Gav, yeah all looks very tidy except the odd scratch etc on the rear bumper :(.

Yeah wheels has been the first thing to cross my mind as that's the real trend setter, as for front lip can you just get one of the Ek9's?

I reckon i'll have to get rid of that grill as well get rid of the shineyness to it. :)

Lower will be on the car's later when I can afford some nice coilovers, but as always with Jap car's they never come cheap.

Just found out the colour is Tahitian green, seems to be a right one to get the actual colour right.

yeah a few different types of lips available, can get ek9 rep lips for cheap :D

Welcome mate. EJ's looking class, especially finding one with such low mileage :D

As gav said above; Wheels, lowered, body kit and you'll be sorted :D....maybe leave out the body kit though ;)

Thank you, yeah was very surprised to see such a low miler. Also not to be tampered with was a surprise as well. (Seen so many vulgar modified ones!)

Of course Gav talk's sence! I'd leave the body alone that's for sure if anything just get the rear bumper resprayed later :)

Is there any good websites for lips etc? Dunno where to start. Was originally a Ford person :S.

Hi mate n welcome that's a very clean motor there mate as Gav said good find :nice:

weloce along, car looks fresh, id say ek9 headlights or d.i.y replica ,spoon mirors colour coded, yellow fogs with Tahitian green would look good ,leave the plastic strips black and a black renault espace lip and the front would be sorted imo.goodluck with it !

Thank you Dan, yeah was pretty amazed by the condition some slight corrosion on the top mount's of the suspension. No doubt I can prevent that for getting any worse though :)

Dunno if i'm so keen on the yellow fogs to be honest, but i'd agree with the headlight's need to do something with them that's for sure.

The Chromey grill will be banished at some point, looks so vulgar to be honest.

Thank's Civicface.

Ye do so mate it's a minter it's acres if out for a b16-b18 ;)

Ain't half tempted to get a B16 in there later on, but being as I'm only 18 with 1 year's NCB i'll have to wait a while i'd reckon.

better of waiting for ek9 , theres alot of work in putin in a b16b and you have to upgrade the handling too and saying "And the reasonably tidy engine bay" is a big understatement its spotless:nono: ,most engines in ej9's are covered in filt.:((

Haha I know, but I still notice imperfections. I went around the engine bay myself cleaning grease etc of the engine. Must of spent about an hour just tidying little annoying area's of it.

I suppose so, but it's such a nice base to work on. I know there's a lot of work with the ECU loom(?) etc, but is it not a bolt in fit? Or would i need most of the front off a EK9?

some wind deflectors and look out for coupe front bumber as it comes without the rubstrip (If u dont like it). best just wait anoter year and get an ek4 or sumthin. good luck with it though mate.

Shall do, want to add something to it that's for sure.

Yeah, it may be best to wait a couple of years, i'd never put a engine in yet as i'd never be able to insure it.

Thanks :)

Welcome along man! WOW thats one clean car!! :))

Best of luck with it!

So, nothing new has happened on this page in a while, quite frankly by the fact that I've had sod all money (unemployed student YAY).

But recently, well more like in the New Year I've started tidying her up and just buying bits that I've wanted for a while. Nothing amazing as such, but just a few certain areas which I've thought have let the car down.

First off, you may of noticed I've not got a Ek9 type R Grill (Rep) I will get round to painting the bugger at some point, I also like to do all the bump strips, finding time or the money especially in this certain time of year is just well... not particularly great

Anyways, headlights. Have been a bane of the car since I pretty much got it, been gathering moisture in the headlights and well and truly stuffed them up and looked horrid, so I bought some new headlights (Depo's to be factual)

The lovely process of getting them off, more tedious than anything.

Now all back together again, some reason the new Osram Nightbreakers look rather yellow there, but when I've looked with my own eyes they never seem that yellow.

Here's what I mean by the rubbish set, still sitting in my room. (Anyone want to buy? :L)

Next thing, I don't like the whole tango look for my first point and two, back in the last months of last year my lights for what ever reason that is beyond me had little cracks forming in certain areas, it also had a massive crack down one, was all still functional but looked quite frankly rubbish in the night with the lights on or up close. So I went about sourcing some lights. Came across these thanks to, B18c'r ek.

In no time they were fitted.

Buddy Club P1s nice alloys they are, just a shame about the ride height of the car at the moment.

Will hopefully sort that out soon.

Oh and also as you have no doubt noticed, I decided to get a backbox for the car, it's only a bit of "loud" fun. In some cases, too loud.
