Dans EK9 Type R

Twobar, what car were you driving mate? Next time you spot me come and say hello

Industrial estate or not it is still a public road and there are innocent members of the public that work there - even at that time of night.

I don't knock you for making your own choices, I just feel sorry for the people that take no part in the racing etc and are then caught up in it - like the poor girl last night in the Ka who got hit by the chap in the VR6 golf. She was not racing or anything at all - he was driving like a twat & they have both paid the price.

Overall I have no problem with people having a little hoon, just on a wet night down a road with cars parked either side and vehicles clearly struggling for traction then it's clear there is a good chance or something horrible happening. I personally have seen people die here, as have you if you have been going there for the last 5 years.

I was in a Leon Cupra R although I parked over at the MacDonalds and walked over & yes I will say hello if I get down there again.

As I said, your not wrong, however I do believe this thread/ forum is not the right place to be discussing how people drive. That cruise has always been untamed, that's just what it's like. Other meets/cruises are alot more relaxed etc. Anyway enough if this, hopefully we will catch up in person and have a chat.

@twobar: Did you just sign up just to stir ****?? If youve a problem with the lad speak in person or use the PM'S :angry2:

@ek9dan: Sweet ek9 man!:nice: personally id stick with a white bonnet lookswise! Id go for an FRP 1 if I were you!

Again, thanks lads, I do believe PM would have been more suitable but hay ho.

Option, thanks muchos buddy, and an FRP one, what a great idea! I never even thought about that. Sweet :nice:

Sweet car Dan, but you know you're cheating now you've gone 1800 right?

Put the carbon bonnet back on, and try and turn that intake in the bumper slightly towards the front a bit more, you'll get better air flow around the bumper on that side, and better air flow straight into the intake. To hell what anyone thinks, do it how you like it!

I had an air box on my ITBs at first and at full speed on the back straight of Taupo circuit there was 6psi of pressure in the air box from the ram sticking out the front. Boost without a turbo!

It was a pain in the arse to tune though because it couldn't be simulated on the dyno so we gave up and went for max power with atmospheric pressure.

Just seen this thread again, its been a while and will be updated fairly soon with some more goodies.

Thanks for the advice there, unfortunately i would need to buy a new bumper to more the air duct as i will be left with a gaping hole :nerv:

Looks hawt!

Did you strip the interior or leave as is?

Thanks chap,

I had stripped it totally at one point now the only think i have in the back are the rear seats and door cards which really doesn't weigh more then 5KG together... I have no carpet/air con/spare wheel parcel shelf.

Wheels look real good mate, as do the headers.

And don't worry - if I had a dollar for every time someone said what I had done to my car was crazy or they didn't like it, I'd be a millionaire

It's your car, do what you like to it, and to hell with everyone else mang!

I agree i loves those headers! And as timmiblc point out if we all loved every mod and look to each others cars we'd all be boring really!

Agreed! Put the bonnet back on or sell it to me! I like you intake mod to your bumper makes it look mean as fcuk!

Need to catch up buddy!

@irishmantomo, Thanks :D

@Ian, Cheers man. I sold the carbon bonnet ages ago though. Looking back it was a nice touch. Im split between the two though to be honest. Oh and thanks for the comment on the bumper, ive reamed it out so sits further flush.

Ive ordered a few bits, so will update this thread with some pics soon.

Thanks for looking peeps :)

PS, yes we definitely need a good catch up! NURBURG!

diggin the lack of carpet mate. dc2 rails sit really good

Yup thats the one, should be listed under DC2 integra

Bit fiddly to do but makes such a difference to the support of the seat

hmm, it doesnt seem to be listed under DC2. It just stats its made for most classic recaros. No model was mentioned?
