Bushell's OEM+ Nine

Cheers man. Yeah hopefully. Can start to call it my own once i put my own time and effort into it.

I was wondering why your 9 was sitting so high, then I turned the brightness up and seen the jack stands haha!

Haha. Yeah definitely not sitting that high. I fixed it so im not standing there looking like a dick.

Basically i had just finished removing the resonator and fitting a tegiwa carbon elbow.

Next on the list is to sort the cold air feed out. Then i have drop links, rear light seals and Lca's to fit.

Just started my new apprenticeship on monday past, and its pretty demanding so progress will be pretty slow on this unfortunately :(

Oh yeah those tacho's take some sorting out haha, kidding mate, liking the carbon elbow tho :)

Haha get wrecked dean lol, was other stuff to was just to busy :p.

Cheers buddy ;)

Haha still need to see this properly, and need to update my thread.... Eventually :)

Yeah man. Hopefully this year at somepoint :).

Yeah you do mate haha. Be a good wee write up....

Decided I would go see my car today seeing as its been a while, (7 weeks). Got a list of things to get done so got a few things done today.

I noticed the front brakes were sticking a bit so stripped them down and worked the piston back and forth, seems to have done the trick, I think it was just because of it sitting for a while.

The passenger door was out of alignment, I could feel it being pushed down as I was closing it, so removed the side skirt and wing so I could drop the door down a few mil so it was nice and smooth to shut.

I then got a bit carried away and decided to have a proper look at the car rust wise, so continued to remove the front and rear bumpers, side skirts and front wings. Happy to report there is minimal rust, worst part is probably behind the rear bumper but I think it can be wire brushed away then undersealed along with the rest of the car.

Last thing I did was re-connect the battery and start it up, after over 2 months of sitting there it started first time no problem, let it get up to temp then turned off again. It was good to hear it running, looking forward to getting it out this year at some point :).

Obligatory crap phone pics....

Doesn't look to bad rust wise, mine had a few bits in the same places,
Now is the time to sort it before it starts setting in any further:nice:

If only more people done the job properly when freshly imported....

I was surprised how little there is to be honest. Going to try and get into a garage somewhere and use a wire wheel to rub it back then underseal it. Hopefully that will keep it away.

Prime, stone chip, paint, then dinitrol would be better, normal under seal is pretty crap!

Interesting, may have to take a note of the products you use, seen your work on here and it looks pretty good and thorough.

Always used underseal on previous cars as well :/

The problem with normal underseal/body Schultz is that it dries back to be quite weak so can flake or peel off in big pieces or moisture gets trapped behind it, it's not that hard wearing

Ah ok. So a coat of primer and paint just builds up extra layers basically?
