Bushell's OEM+ Nine

that looks really clean buddy. very nice!

Love the anal detailing going on there lad, looks the part, Its the bits that prob only you will notice but its all that matters. I have bc coilovers and the top mounts/bearings knock ever so slightly does my head in, can be tightened but still not 100%

Thanks man. Yea stuff like that bugs me haha

Yea i removed the damping adjusters yesterday and tightened every coilover unit. Knocking is better but still there. Going to disconnect both anti roll bars on saturday and see if its still there, just to eliminate the arb drop links and d bushes.

looks dope matey glad she`s gone to a good home.. looks well after a nice clean

Outstanding :nice:

Would be good to see this in person at some point.

Cheers saqib, will more than likely be next year now, will be going off the road as soon as I can get my paws on a cheap daily :)

Its for the best haha. You got a daily sorted? Cant wait until i have a house with a garage :(

So another busy Saturday for me, got the 9 on the ramp at work and sanded down the calipers and carriers then painted, went from gold to black, felt red would look a bit chavvy and wasn't sure about a fresh kind of oem silver so played it safe with black.

In between coats I had to clean a new car that was going out today so that took me 2 and half hours, very rushed job and not proud of it .

Put a few more coats of paint on, whilst waiting for them to dry I gave the wheels a good clean seeing as they were off the car (only time i took photos today) I then fitted a new rear caliper and bled the brakes. Took the car for a run and the pedal feels a bit different so that will take time to get use to I guess....

Wheels came up okay, they definitely need a refurb so hopefully get that done soon and get the centre caps sorted as they let the wheels down a lot, anyone know where to get the correct or close replica stickers for the centre caps? don't want bright red ones just want ones the same as the ones that are on it.

Thanks for reading all that pointless chat haha :)

It's not pointless chat mate its all progress!
Good choice on not doing the callipers red, I'm torn between doing mine satin silver for the "as new" look or black also

Think red would look ok if it was a darker red like what the 'R' decals are done in, but thanks :).

Would be interesting to see a wrinkle black caliper, would imagine there would be a lot of work in that.

A really clean car stands out just as much as a modded one. Thumbs up for the ocd. So u finally got one chris. How was ur first drive?

Cheers man :). First drive was conservative due to the bad weather. Still to take the car a proper drive to be honest. Just not had time recently. Need to bleed the brakes through again though as the pedal doesn't feel quite right after fitting the caliper. Loads of work to do to the wife's wee yaris first though :(

Boring update**

So went round the brakes today and all is well. Pedal feels fine so im happy :).

Due to my infinite wisdom, to paint the calipers and carriers on the car i notice i had cleverly covered my car in little black dots (over spray). Was super pleased with myself :angry2:.
So i figured i may as well give it another clean. Bought a new poorboys clay bar and set about it.
So clayed, polished and waxed again. Came up pretty well....again haha. Claying did make such a big difference. Really cleaned up the paint.

Random early morning foggy shot..

Due to not having much money to spend on the car at the moment i'm just doing the free stuff that makes a difference.... cleaning.

Decided to give the passenger seat and the carpet mats a clean out, weren't that dirty to be honest but I was bored at work so thought why not....

Removed the seat and floor mats and gave them a hoover,
then gently soaked the seat with warm water,
sprayed woolite on to one section of the seat at a time and worked in with my hands,
used a wet vac machine to remove water and dirt.

For the carpets I pretty much did the same except without the woolite and used a medium brush to scrub them when wet and sucked them dry, currently sitting at work under the heater drying, heres a few pics I took a long the way :)

Before....

During....

Dirty dirty water :/

Nice Work, Its amazing what a difference there is after a good clean, did a similar job to a set I picked up from a local breakers. Massive Change.

Cheers bud. Will get proper after pics once they are all dry. Next major thing to get done will be a wheel refurb :)

top work matey , I think at some point the seats have been switched . I meant to change the pass one back over to the drivers side . Unsure why anyone would do this as id prefer the seat in better nick to be the pass as the drivers one gets more use .
