Love the pic of them together.

(stole a few pics there :p. hope the previous owner doesn't mind)

Just couldn't resist picking this up.

The guy that bought it for £4500 lost all enthusiasm for the car once he had to spend more money on it. Then after I fixed a few of the faults it had for him, it then failed test and he gave up. He had it up for sale for few months with no interest on the island. Small population and even smaller amount of honda enthusiasts. I made an offer and he took it. Found a few more bits it needed, but nothing I can't manage. Plan to have it as the missus's summer daily and keep it as OE or as tasteful as I can storing it off road through winters. First car I have had that was worth keeping mint. My EG6 has always been a battle weapon :drive: . Hope to have this up to show condition for next year. :nice:

Apologies for the crap Pics in advance. My sony is in for repair so using a loan nokia lumia phone as camera. :((
First of checked out the rear brakes. Found the pads seized into the carriers and one caliper piston seized solid. After pricing the lot up decided to convert to DC5 setup instead as worked out similar price. But alot more for your money.

Little refirb while there.

Adapted cable bracket.

Good DC5 conversion write up over on ITR-DC2 forum.

While I was in there I found the great exhaust fitment. :nono:

Is much the same at the manifold flange also. :nono:
Will more than likely replace the whole system with a DC2 center and EK9 back box to keep the nice OE style goin. Plus to keep the bloody thing quiet haha.

Next was the front of the car. What are those marks on the chassis from??

:shocked::shocked::nono:!!!!!

That would be the front brake line flexi, rubbing on the body and worn down to the cords about to burst.!
Good job I had these sat under my bed for my EG.

Replaced the Lines with Goodridge Braided ones and replaced fluid with ATE blue.

Test fit of the BBS's

looks deadly! dont understand how its the only honda youv had worth keeping yet your were slating the same car before after the lad bought it. its not like these cars are costly to maintain/fix how bad was it?

Wow, some nice bodges and shoddy work been going on there! At least it's in good hands now,
Looks like it could do with a good pressure wash off and waxoiling properly?

Seems common now days that cars advertised as mint never ever are

Think you missed what I meant. Only one I have had that was worth keeping "Mint". As all my past cars have been ready to go not ready for show, as this one will be. I never slated the car for its actual condition or the cost of the fixes it needed, just the fact it was described and priced as an immaculate car. Which for the price tag it was not quite in my eyes.

Seems to have had an underseal recently. Looks like a quick can job on the underpan. Hopefully should manage to get the inner arches plus all the nooks and crannys done over the winter. Chassis is pretty clean though. I threw a little spray can in and around what I could see was missed today while I had it on the ramp while doing the rack gaiters and wheel alignment. As the steering wheel was pissed off to the left. Had to take of it off and re adjust both front Rack ends's as one had twice as many threads on than the other.

The car itself is in amazing condition. Just seems to have had a few quick fixes and a few neglected parts. But will all be rectified.

When I got it out for a wheel and brake test.

Had to raise it 15/20mm to get into the garage. But front is now a little high.

Next to the current Daily winter beater.

Tried out the 2 Rota's I had in the boot. Instantly suited for me.

Nice pick up!
Give us the specs

No specs really.

MeisterR Zeta S coilovers.
Spoon rad cap, Password JDM rad stay.
Baffled Decat, an unknown short shift, poly shift bushes ermm...
Oh also whatever wheels i put on, 16x6.5 BBS RG2/opens at moment, DC5 rear brakes and Goodridge Braided lines.

Everything else is OE. Unsure on what Center section it is as its certainly longer than an EG but don't think its quite as long as an EK center. Whole exhaust seems to be a cheap aftermarket replacement.

Oh and a Carbon duckbill spoiler. Doubt is a Spoon.

Rota's look better than the bbs!:nice:

Very nice eg. Stick with the advans though. They suit it Down to the ground. If I could find a set in 15s to fit the 9 I'd be all over them. Best of luck with it :nice:

I've always thought those Advans look great on their own. On most cars i see sporting them, they just don't seem to look right.
But on this EG, it looks absolutely perfect! Keep them on!

Class car! Would you sell it? :)

Not mine to sell. The better half bought it. Its a kind of joint ownership. Doubt it would be for sale anytime soon.

Totally agree about the advans. But I didn't really trust the missus to not curb them. Plus thankfully on that note she didn't like the look of them anyway. So I swapped her my Rota's for them as they are one of those wheels I have always wanted. For now they are in storage, might go on the MX5 or my EG if they fit over the 282's.

Will probably put them back on if we bring it to japfest.

Got it into work yesterday.

Got a few shots of underneath but turned out crap quality.

Is shiny in places as I went over the underseal with fresh stuff where I found it was a bit thin.

Gave around the brake line a quick blast where I cleaned all the crap off.

Dropped the front 5mm to even it out a bit. But after road test I have a suspicion that the spring preloads are a bit upset/uneven, either that or couple of the spring have gone soft. Forgot to get a pic while wheel Aligning but I will grab a picture of the printout later. I didn't bother with a fast road setup just more or less standard to keep it stable and safe. Missus driving it after all. Last thing I need is her lift off oversteering into a hedge.

Ah no worries. I sold my black one 2 years ago and regret it ever since. Pretty hard to get a good EG6 now. If you ever want to sell it let me know!
