Some of you may or may not be aware that next year there will be a new World Sports car championship, for the likes of LMP and GT cars. Well, just announced is Honda's involvement with JRM Motorsport (a.k.a Sumopower.) They will be running a Honda HPD LMP1 car next year. Another team will be running one as well called Strakka Racing. The big thing though, is that this car last year after only a couple of days of testing beat Audi and Peugeot's factory teams at the Sebring 12 hours and finished second. With a year of added testing and development, factory involvement and two crack teams Honda have a very real chance of winning the WEC (World Endurance Championship.)
Either way, it's fantastic to see Honda back in World Class motorsport and I can't wait to see the these V8 powered monsters sticking it to Audi, Peugeot and Toyota.
