Did you buy it this way?

I do not know of a way to fix this issue. Other than to buy a new block and rebuilt it.

Even if it could be repaired, I would never trust it again. Get a new block, b20's are low cost, as you know.

Tama666 B20's maybe cheap over there but not here.

Hmm its a hard call, how deep is the crack in regars to the thread depth of the mount?

I can repair it for you if you want, we do a fair bit of cast block repairs.

exactly what i wanted to hear, least its in repairable words. Well il get it measured up tomorrow. Also all this B20 vs b18c bottom end discussion, definitely not gonna back out now. Im slowly gathering up the parts atm mate, then taking it to you when i feel iv got everything.

All the best with your repair! :) Hope it works out.

Sorry, to me $500 is not that much for a long block b20- even less for a short block. If your rebuilding an engine anyway, might as well start with something worth building off of, and not a cracked block at the motor mount. But this is only me, apparently.

Just think of it, you get this crack "repaired" and build up the entire engine and have it installed. Only to find out during install that its not holding up or it cracks later on while driving. time for another rebuild and new block. Fun! Yeah. Sign me up!

Tama with the current exchange rate try circa $700 for a B20 and you wont be fr away from average UK prices.

As fro repairing it its vrey dependant on depth 30mm doesnt sound good, ideally i would liek to see it up close, Ive repaired a few Blocks now and no problems yet.

If the worst comes to the worst i have a few Spare EMPTY blocks you can fot your internals into.
