2015 Civic Type R, how would you modify it?

There will be built in tuning potential. Honda know their market.

I dont like it at all; big lardy lump. At Japfest it didnt catch me nor I it. Mine is a race car...but no poofy turbo! ;-)

John-poofy-turbo ;)
It won't be long and these will be at mental power they can't put down.
I think that you'll have to spend a lot of money on the chassis to actually improve it, although lardy to us is it lardy in today's market?
The focus RS has been a heavy beast for years and I'm sure the new one is heavier again.
Vauxhalls attempt at something worth driving is just as heavy, if not worse again.
Megane is its main competition, that is lighter iirc ESP the striped out versions they do, perhaps we are yet to see this from Honda...

It would be cool if Honda did a similar hardcore special to Renault's R26R; cage, no back seats, louder exhaust, bucket seats, harness, no air-con, R888, etc.

Hi I have recently bought my self a new type r which I love, but the exhaust note is crap so I have ordered a milltek race exhaust after they have fitted the exhaust it's going to be put on a rolling road & have a remap. They believe after all that it should be good for 380 bhp without much trouble. I have also seen a company offering a downpipe for the milltek exhaust system to further enhance the car further. The company is called HCTR tuning from German has anyone heard of them are they any good?

We dont here much about the fk2 over here. I did see a post on Facebook of a German company that tuned one to around 380hp though so I assume that's the guys your referring too.
I believe there's a forum for the new civic type r? Your more likely to get a result over there.

Might want to check out TDI North on FB. I've seen a good few posts with them doing stuff to FK2s.

In today's market, I wouldn't say it's particularly lardy. A couple of bags of sugar shy of 1400kg, it's about the same weight as the mkII FRS. But as a hot hatch, in my mind nearly a ton and a half is pretty hefty
