Windscreen Wiper Problem??

Hey guys,

Got a strange problem with my drivers side wiper.

Basically its only moving ever so slightly when I turn the wipers on which is causing it to come in contact with the passenger side wiper.

I thought maybe the nut that bolts the windscreen wiper
onto thewindscreen may have been loose so tightened it, but still had the same problem.

Also when I switch the wiper off, and I try and move the passenger wiper up and down on the windscreen it doesn't budge (which is normal).

But the drivers side wiper which is at fault moves up and down with ease?

Its quite cold where I live and the windscreen was frozen when I started the car, so I'm inclined to think this may have something to do with it?
Any ideas what I can do to fix this asap. The last thing I want is my wipers not to be working in this weather.

Did you sort this out? the same thing happened to mine today.

mine did this i had to replace the whole linkage cheap enough and an easy job mind wipers dont like being forced wether its using them at high speed or turning on when frozen
