What do people think of this JDM civic, its meant to be JDM version of the vi so would that make it an Sir with 160bhp standard?

Is it a good spec whats been done to the engine etcand does 190bhp from that spec sound reasonable?

Cheers :D

sir are very good, in between u.k vti and ek9, more like the ek9 though, cross reference lot of parts and youll see what i mean, also has 168 bhp standard and lsd and stiffer better/suspension and chassis than uk vti

Cheers for that mate it says it has a spoon ecu which lowers the vtec and has raised the limiter to 9200

Is that bit too high do you think or perfectly capable for the engine?

Depending if it has after market retainers / springs, camshafts, if it does yes, if it has a stock motor NO. Too risky, also if you move the redline to 9200 is because you're making power up to 9200 RPM, there's no use to have a stock motor revving that high if you don't make power at all.

I really don't trust the apexi VAFC, (vtec controller) I prefer to install a aftermarket ecu. Also it has a turbo timer hehe or something like that, I really want to guess the brand of the bucket seat, maybe sparco or bride?

I also don't like the side gauges, I prefer to have them on top of the dash.

I like the Mugen RNR wheels :)

The car looks nice, nice after market parts :woot:

It has the apexi vtec controller but also has a full spoon ecu

The bucket seat is bride :D

Hmmm, weird thing! To have a vtec controller + spoon ecu! :nerv:

Do you know what camshafts it has ?

Heres the main engine spec:

SPOON SPORTS COMPLETE ECU 5000RPM VTEC/9200 REV LIMIT
SPOON EARTHING KIT
SPOON 4 BRANCH IN HEAT WRAP
SPOON RADIATOR CAP
TOP FUEL INDUCTION KIT WITH COLD AIR FEED
UPRATED LEADS & HKS PLUGS
UPRATED FUEL PUMP
FULL KAKIMOTO S/STEEL EXHAUST SYSTEM
SPORTS RACING CAT
EXCEDY CLUTCH & FLYWHEEL

Hmmm, if it has stock head, I wonder how much that motor will last...

its more like a vti, rather than an ek9.
produces 168bhp with LSD.
Very Rare

thats what i used to think but cross reference the part numbers and youll see what i mean and other parts are right in between or same as ek9

id find out exact condition of engine (kinda hard as youll need to get compression tests done, check for smoking, monitor oil burning which you simply cant do by just looking at a car once or twice on test drive) as with that rev limit and spec list you posted if may be on its way out if that limit has been paid a visit often

im not sure if valve springs and lma are same as ek9 or uk ek4 but cams are different to both ek9 and uk ek4 (in between), if same as ek9 then higher rev limit wouldnt cause as much damage as it would on u.k ek4

I don't know why but for me, that car has something wrong lol, why have a vtec controller + spoon ecu if no aftermarket camshafts and valve train ?? something is just not right :nerv: maybe is just a show car ?

Its sooo difficult to get the meaning out of this setup!! except if the owner wants to damage the car on purpose or something!! If its not a show car, then the engine performance will be decreased dramatically either with high or little abuse until will die. Revving that high with stock VTi springs and retainers, its not weird if you loose a valve somewhere there. Also you don't get the expected performance gains if you do everything except from unsealing your engine
