Hi guys,

My front passenger side brake seems to now have uneven wear on the disc leaving a nice rusty line. As you can see from the picture one half is clean, one half is not. I recently changed the caliper thinking it may sort it (previous one was seizing up anyway) but it doesn't seem to have.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance

How new are the discs and pads? As if the previous caliper caused wear the pads + disc would be worn unevenly they wouldn't still be uneven if they all weren't replaced. Or disc may be warped but you should feel that through the pedal.

As above is the most likely reason.
Swap some new discs and pads on and should get full pad contact then.
Or wait for the pad to wear down the high spot..

Bought the car just under 2yrs ago and it's been fine ever since, no issues. Unsure exactly how new the discs are but they seem in reasonable condition though on the low width side. The pads are roughly 2yrs old with decent amount of life left. The car drives fine and feels like normal actually so I don't think it's warped. Thanks for the reply

Thanks for the reply. I'm leaning towards getting new discs then as these ones are getting towards the low side. Given me a reason to get new parts I guess lol thanks

Personally I'd replace the lot just incase. As for it to miss the disc is only needs to be 1-2mm out and to the naked eye you'll never detect that. Or like Jesse wait for the wear to even out.

I think I'll go for that then and get new parts :) thanks for the help. Will update once everything is on etc hopefully that'll sort it!

You could have a sticky caliper aswell so worth checking the sliders etc on them when you change everything over.

Have checked and greased the sliders up with the appropriate stuff. They came out easily so I think they're fine. Ive a suspicion the piston though may be getting stuck slightly but need to check. Cheers mate!
