Spoon Throttle Body


ok sorry to dig up an old thread
Im going to get my throttle body bored out
70 dia taper down to 60 dia for my ek9

just want to know will that make a different at all ??? since im sticking to the OEM outlet sizes I have I/H/E done only havent done Cams and Cam gears yet
 
It ought to help response slightly and feel a bit peppier....don't expect it to give you a bunch of power. We are still dealing with a relatively mild compression 1.6L NA motor.

if it makes a small amount of difference on throttle respones I'll be happy, as it is my daily driver / track car, I just hope it doesnt go reverse and loss power, Im running 4-2-1 headers hope and to gain a bit at the top end.

there shouldn't be any powerloss.

what kind of 4-2-1 (brand) header are you running currently?

well lads sorry for routing this up

the plans for my 9 are as follows
b18 t/b and intake manifold
jdm b18 exhaust manifold
decat
s/s cat-back ensure of what make yet
arc air box or standard with drop in filter
mapped to neptune or chrome when done

i am thinking bout getting the b18 trottle body bored out to spoon venturi spec so it will be tapered from 70mm down to 62mm am i right or is it 60mm.sorry if im making mistakes im new to all this as this my first engine with a bit of power worth doing things to.i will running all stock internals.would this be a good upgrade for better throttle response.the only thing worrying me is the part of losing hp as ive seen people mention.
