any way om going to order a ek9 soon but not sure weather to go for the 97 one or the facelift what are the differences ?

the 97 ones wont need a sva soon so the prices are going to come down so they could be a good buy .how much for a good facelift ?

welcome mate! that was some nice dc5! hope you buy a ek9 soon.

The differences from a 97 to a facelift are:

Dashboard, front bumper, + engine harness (obd2b compared to the 1997 obd2a) keyless entry, and some of them had aluminium pedals.

Complete information regarding the 1997 ek9 honda civic type r can be found here:

Complete information regarding the late 1998+ facelift ek9 honda civic type r can be found here:

:nice: Thanks for sharing the photos and videos of your dc5! Too bad you sold it. But I hope you get a ek9 soon, also, if you plan tu tune your ek9 (changing ecu etc) a 1997 one will be the best option because of the obd2a harness :woot:

Hey Webbie. I put up a post on my forum:

http://www.toyotagtturbo.com/viewthread.php?tid=37431

with a couple of the clips of your old dc5. Would you mind signing up (only take a minute), and telling the members a little bit more about it. They thought it was ace dude, and I think it opened a few peoples eyes as to how quick the dc5 can be the right mods.

Thanks

hey they dont beleave my braking is true .the standard brakes are awesome brembos and i had ferodo race pads in i was pressing the pedal as hard as i could caus i wanted to hit 155 before i reached the round about but then that didnt leave me much road left

Yeah there was the odd one or two that said something about your speed/braking. I posted that your car had been converted to mph etc as you said, but I reccon it'll be better coming straight from the horse's mouth:)
