I know its highly recomended to replace new rotors and pads at the same time, but lets say i replace new rotors but keep the used pads. What are the consequences?

Crappy brakes for maybe a few hundered miles till the pads bed in the new rotors or do I simply screw up the pads and eventually still have to have them replaced by new ones?

I have practically new Stoptech Street Performance pads all round which im really happy with and dont want to ruin them.

Any experiences on this?

Thanks

The pads will have started to wear to the disc, so if the discs have a lip, the pad may have worn into it.
You can use your original pads but they might take longer to bed in.
Thought you were going down the BBK route anyway?

Currently considering all options available to upgrade the brakes. ATR setup, Wilwoods or replacing dics all round all seem good options so just need to decide which route best to take according to the car's main use and finances obviously :nerv::nerv::nerv:
