I have started my own business now in recruitment; the last company I worked for called deNovo went in to administration last May and to be honest it'd been bit of a cack ride all 2009 with the parent company cocking about and spending money we didn't have (i.e. they were circulating the tax mans money and VAT back into the business to pay salaries 
)
Anyways in October 2009 I started my own business and I am working in conjunction with Bond Recruitment (they provide back-office and database support for a 15% fee per fee I make etc...)
I specialise in IT, Telecoms and New Media recruitment. All roles are predominantly permanent but I do have the odd contractor out as well and some fixed-term contracts come through as well. My 'stomping ground' is the North West (i.e. Lancashire, Manchester, Merseyside and bits/bats around Cheshire) but I do also cater for other UK regions as well as London.
Roles I recruit for range from 1st-3rd Line Technical Support right through to Senior Management roles (Heads of Product, Network & Infrastructure, Marketing etc...). Salaries can range from £15k to upwards of £80k basic per annum.
Reason I'm posting this is that I am happy to be able to offer a referral fee ranging from £100 to £350 dependant upon final salary/fee per placement. The referral fee is payable after 10 weeks of the candidate starting (i.e. my standard TOB's rebate period).
