hi lads i was just wonderin if your replacing your master cylinder (non abs)

cause its leaking, can you replace it with an abs one?

i heard somewhere the lines need to be flared or there one too many holes as

one goes to the abs unit?

can anyone enlighten me please?

thanks alan

I would think so
as to remove the abs you just need to change the prop valve

abs one has one hole bigger than the standard mc so ull need to get a brake line made up to run one.As i have a abs one out of and integra and this is the problem i had altho i already had another one ordered from a mb6 which fitted perfect. If your after the abs one pm me.Wont be a big job to sort

Im gonna be doing the 11.1 upgrade to my car and got a couple of questions.

I will be replacing the stock master cylinder to the 1" model , now does it matter if the new MC is ABS or not? My car is a non abs model.

I will be using ITR front calipers and prelude vtec rotors. is this the right combination?

You dont have to upgrade your master cylinder but it would be better too.

If your hubs are 4 x 114 then prelude 282mm discs/rotors are correct.

i will be getting the rotors re drilled to 4x100.

Any idea on the abs question?

Use the non ABS master if you can. If you already have the master with ABS, you will need to plug up one of the outlets to the ABS to make it compatible with non ABS setups.

Again, go for the Non-ABS version if you can. Makes it a direct bolt up upgrade.

Not sure what the deal is in the states but in the UK everybody uses MG ZS 180 discs/rotors they are 282mm 4x100
