hey guys. i have always wanted an ek9 and i am now considering buying one. the problem is the insurance. i am 20 years old, have been driving for 3 years, almost 2 years no claims, clean licence and i live in the middle of no wear.best quote i can find is £2200,
i pay £1000 atm on my pugoet 207 and thats a 1.6 turbo but its been in the dealers 4 times already and its booked in this tuesday caus its lost all power again .so fed up with it. and would like to get an ek9 sooner than later

im considering waiting untill august so i will then be 21

any help towards getting a cheaper quote would be great

thanx
tom

have you tried adrian flux? should be competitive......:nice:

I've insured mine at 19 driving 2yrs 8 months 1 yr ncb for approx 1700 with admiral.

im actually with admiral at the moment so yeah i will give them and a ring and see what they say. on the comparison website they were expensive but i will give them a ring. :). what do u think to your civic?

yeah i did earlier today there quote was more than £2200

it's prob because of only having one years no claims, if you wait till your 21 and have the two years ncb, you'll prob see a bit of a drop, i think sky cover when your 21 and they're pretty decent pricewise too mate:)

Don't use comparison sites for import/performance/modified cars. Always go to the company themselves and get a quote.

ok cool i will try them out and see what they quote. yeah i might wait till august because then i will have 2 years no claims . plus it will be my birthday so i can get sum ek9 related presents lol.

Try Bell, Admiral, Elephant. All under the same company but all gave me competitive quotes. I forgot to say im on a Admiral multicar policy so that might make a bit of difference. I'm also in the 2nd postcode from best which helps. As for the car, love it!

I have the same insurance profile as you and I'm with Bell.co.uk for £970 per year on my EK9, fully comprehensive.

I changed my job on Bell from Farm Manager to Farmer and saved myself £200. Also whack in at least two much older drivers and you should get a very competitive quote. :win:

Bell, Elephant and Admiral (the Admiral Group) are all really good and have the EK9 on their database. You could also try Sky Insurance from this forum.

:nice:
