hi everbody i got a a 2000 ek9 and it inside it has the carbon fibre sorround where it holds the radio and the heating controls. well it is not fixed properly for some reason and it doesnt sit flush with the dash, and its so enoying because every time you put your foot down and it bounces abit the dash pops out of the car and you have to push it in while driving. what can i do??

i have tryed opening the clips behind a little bit so it will sit in but it does not work i think the top clip has broke what can i do because i would really like to fix this problem cause it can be very dangerous while driving can any help plz...!

New clips from Honda or scrapped car (doesn't have to be an EK9, any Civic will do with that dash).

More than likely it was damaged when the original stereo was removed.

Either new clips or strong glue.

well i cant put any pics up at the moment because i am out of the country for like 3 months and my car is just sitting there, i think i will try and get some new clips or something from somewhere or try and make some my self. i didnt want to glue because incase i needed to take it back out. but thanks for your help.

Don't use super glue or something similar, it will turn your "black" plastic to white, use it only in not visible areas. In my country there's something called poxipol, this thing has 2 tubes with 2 types of glue, when you mix them they get hard as a rock, I use this to fix broken plastic parts with the use of some teflon to make it stronger. hope this helps.
