Gathers Stereo - Problems

Hey guys.There seems to be a problem with the cd changer on my Gathers stereo. Everytime I put a cd in, it either says disc error, or mechanical error
Any ideas why this is heppening? Also could somebody tell me how to set the correct time on it.

sounds like a dirty disk or dirty/buggered laser

Are they new store bought CD's or Mp3 CD's?

if its saying mech error id carefully dismantle it and check theirs no missing teeth on the silicone cogs. replacement compontents can be bought through RS components.

and just to note, if your stereo doesnt like playing copied/backup cds then you can go to the stereo manufacturers website, find the model and the compatable disk types/modes and you can change these in Nero, burn the disc with these type-settings and itll play them no problems!!
