C/L problem

I have recently fitted a laserline alarm system to my car 98 spec ek9.Sometimes when I press the key fob to lock the doors and put on the alarm,it just puts on the alarm.It can happen when I want to open it aswell just the alarm will turn off and I have to open the door with the key.Is this a reguler problem with this car or was the guy who fitted the system?

i have the same problem if you lock the car from inside. that you cannot unlock it sometimes without using the key through the window.lol very cool! lol

i think damien has the same or similar problem. id take the door cards off and clean all the contacts on the door electics and also squeeze the connectors together to make sure the contacts are good.. may be a start

Im having the same problem with my Laserline. By any chance did you get that fit in the Castle Garage Macroom??

In the Hondas there is a special hook in the passanger door that sometimes slips. Hard to explain.

For some reason it is not catching the hook properly.

Basically, The guy that fitted it needed an extra part that he didnt have so he chanced fitting it without the part.

Go back to him. he knows exaclty whats wrong with it.

Mine has the same problem and he told me the reason for it. i just havent had a chance to bring my car back to him

Ya your spot on there.Went back to him the first time it happened and he fixed it,but it didnt last long.I'm just wondering does anyone else have this problem with say another security system fitted.
