Alright lads!

Have a few questions for the guru's on ek9 org.

I've rescently acquired a turbo kit from an em1 (vti-r coupe or si coupe)
With a b16a2.

Now. If I installed the kit on my car, would I need to modify the dump pipe due to the fact the b16a2 has lower deck height compared to b16b/b18c7?

Question 2: currently the kit comes equipped with a drag manifold (wastegate on 1 cylinder) and I'm thinking whether I should use it or not (hand ported it myself for 8 hours) would you guys recommend me purchasing a new manifold (it has to be ac and ps compatible) or keep the drag manifold for time being (as I'm only running under 10 psi on standard motor?

Question 3: I rescently opened my wastegate to check condition of diaphragm and resealed it, but for some weird reason, inside the wastegate were 2 springs, one was smaller in width and sat right inside the bigger coiled spring, what would be the purpose of that? Wastegate in question is a turbonetics deltagate mark 2

Hope someone can help, as I'm getting all nessary parts and putting it together and getting it ready for intense tuning (30 hours?)

Need more info, what power you want what your using the car for etc, is the dump tube to open air? Or is it looped back in to the down pipe? What turbo? I could go on for ever!!!! Waste gate will have two springs to try and get to a targeted boost pressure and is completely fine, you need to know what the springs are though, they should have different colour paint on.

hey there

thanks for replying,
original owner states it was 10 psi. both springs inside are black
dump pipe is seperate to the wastegate dump(open to air)
turbo is turbonetics t3/t4 .57 trim

i opened the turbo today and found out that there were no Orings on either side, is that normal? turbo has never been touched before, which is weird. came factory like this?>
