    Wheel spacing

    There are plenty of spacers for 5xstud out there, 3mm, 5mm & 10mm are the common ones. The cheaper ones are universal fitment and are not hub centric, the dearer ones are PCD-specific and hub-centric. You can probably get away with leaving the standard studs in place with the 3mm ones...

    Probably worth changing the rings too, whilst apart. Check the bores aren't worn or scratched or you'll need a .5mm rebore to go with it too.

    Spring lengths

    I thought that the normal drop springs were more for fast road/occasional track use whereas my car is a full time racer - so firstly I want to lower than normal and secondly run higher spring rates...

    Thanks, that's good advice although it doesn't answer my question ;-). So, alright then, part of the long story is that I have a set of Mugen Showa dampers, how do I go about what you say, ie matching some springs up to the Showa's valving and travel? cheers Jaz
