Wow, some real work going on here. You mentioned the popularity of boosted SOHC in the USDM market but to be honest even here they are becoming a rarity. Out of curiosity, what kind of setup would you opt with if you went toward naturally aspirated DOHC ?

I agree with what everyone else is saying. I've had my Ep3 since 2007, been on the forums since then and have heard nothing but bad things about those coils. The suspension geometry for the Ep3/dc5 is already touchy with decreasing ride height so it's best to spend a little more. My current...

Great stuff in here. Dedication like yours is the reason I'm still into the import scene, mostly Honda. The Eg6 is perhaps my favorite all-time, all-around chassis.

Perhaps my favorite color for this chassis. Good call on the turn down muffler. I had to purchase extended hangers for mine as it was beginning to burn my rear lip. I want to buy a J's Racing rear muffler for that turn down tip but they are pricey.

Hello. Yes parts aren't too easy to find for the Ep3. My car could be considered "rare" in the U.S. considering the Type R bumpers and what not but when looking at it in a global perspective it's just a run of the mill Ep3 lol. Did you have the Euro K20a in the car ? You're in Texas I see ?

Your kind words are much appreciated. It's a love-hate relationship with Ep3's and the import crowd over here. People either consider them an abomination or they love them. But they definitely have a niche.

So here we are today. I am in the process of changing the timing belt, water pump and drive belts. My "mission" with this car is to have an extremely clean and fun daily vehicle to potentially use on track weekends. I am going to try and keep it as OEM as possible. I love my Ep3 but...

So I gave the car a thorough wash and cleaned the inside enough to where it no longer smells like a barn. I also added OEM Ek9 front and rear lips/grille to give it a sportier look.

Here is how the poor car looked on the exterior. The interior was equally bad and seemed like my father was hauling bales of hay it was so filthy. The front bumper was falling off, it was zip tied on both sides.
