Ok, paint job is FINALLY done!! It didn't come out too well (lots of drips in the clear and some blemishes). Will need to cut and buff when I have a lot of time on my hands. Here are some night time pics. I haven't reinstated the side moldings or the side skirts but I will soon and take...

I finally got around to wet sanding the car this weekend. It took 3 or 4 days but who cares? haha The body is all done but I have to do the mirrors and sideskirts and a few trim pieces to sand still. The car is going into the paint booth on Sunday. I'll post pics after it's done...

splat, I was looking for a pic of how the real ctr lip is installed. i have a real lip that i ordered and it didn't come with the mounting screws to install it. i think i can figure it out though. thanks anyway

Pictures after it was primered in white. I didn't go a very good job preping it. I need to sand down a few spots and reprimer those areas.

Also switched the climate control to the 99-00 model. A lot of work! But worth it!

I don't think thats correct because I have a 98 hatchback and I DON'T have a release handle but I DO have a lock and handle on the hatch......... Anyone else care to explain?

What!? That's tight! I have to add that to my car LOL. I hate the whole key into lock thing! US always gets shafted. haha

Oh, gotcha. I already removed the wiper arm and welded the hole shut. How do you open the trunk if you don't have the release handle. Do you have any pics of this?

Yes, I'll check out some pictures of the "plate number garnish." I know the plastic piece is the same color as the body but I'm still not sure if the actual handle is. I was refering to the fuel latch release that is inside and on the right hand side. See first picture in my original...

Thanks! I'll pull that stuff off. Next question, do the EK9's have color matched trunk release handles on the rear hatch? Mine is black (unpainted) just wondering if it needs to be sprayed white or taped off. How about the fuel latch release (pictured). Mine is also black, should I paint...
