You could have a vacuum leak somewhere thats causing it to rev that high. i had that problem in the past with the intake manifold gasket. Are you throwing any codes?

Did a Mini-Me Swap on my D16Y7... Turn out it leaked mad oil from the head gasket and eventually went through a litre of oil a week... Totally my bad... After that I swapped over to a B16B and it's been golden every since :drive:
