Civic EE9, Civic ED7 @k20a
Hey guys!

I want to introduce my Civic Vtec to you.
It’s an 1991 Civic vtec with a factory b16a1 in it.
It was a Barnfind and over the last two years we rebuilded the whole car and engine.
It’s fun to drive but a little weak. So i bought a B16B which i will rebuild this year to swap it next winter.
I will start with some pictures.
There will be more in the future.

Here is a small spec list:

Civic EE9
B16A1
Head and Block machined
N1 pulley
Hasport Mounts
5zigen header
Spoon bpipe
Spoon n1 tip
Spoon strut
Spoon spark plug wires
Spoon coolant hoses
Spoon steering wheel
Spoon Shift knob
Yellow recaro driver seat
Spoon SW388 6.5x15“
New paint nh592p from ek9
Kw v1 suspension
And more…

Greetings from germany, Paul!

maybe someone could give me a tip, where I can upload the pictures, where you're able to see the full picture instead of a link :D

Welcome and thanks for sharing!

You can upload photos with a maximum size of 1.5MB to the forum :)

If you need help resizing your images, let me know, I can help you.

BTW I resized your images and uploaded them to the forum.

Greetings from Guatemala :)

Looks good this. Maybe bump into each other at some european events in the future

Thank you all!

Yes I watched those episodes too.
Can’t wait to see how it will pull.
still waiting for some parts for the rebuild.
The Ecu it’s on its way too. It’s a stock ek9 computer because the engine will be stock too. Enough for a streetcar I guess

Welcome!

Love a well spec'd EF. Looking forward to following along.

Thank you!

I collected some parts in the last days

EK9 ecu
DC2 injectors
Alternator brackets made by a friend
I also found a matching distributor
There are lot of service parts and stuff from Japan on the way…

I'm in the states and typically use Black Hawk Japan for almost all my oem and aftermarket parts. Best prices and shipping is pretty decent even compared to buying the same parts locally. Just an fyi if you're not already using someone specific when ordering from Japan.

I usually order at RHD Japan and I work for Honda so sometimes it’s easy to get the right parts.
But nice to know there are more sources to get the stuff.
Thank you

hi…

just a small update.
Managed to find a rear strut from spoon sports. It will match the front strut perfectly.
The first parts for the rebuild of my b16b are at home now.
Toda flywheel, toda timing belt and thermostat from mugen.

I'm doing a full Toda build on my DB8 Type R and took pictures of the flywheel installed before covering up. :)) such a beautiful piece you wont ever see again(or for a long while). lol.

Good stuff.

Will it be an oem rebuild for b16b or will you be increasing compression and adding cams ?

It will be an oem+ rebuild. Cams, valves, etc will be oem. Cam gears maybe toda.
The head and block will be ported too…
It’s my street car and this will be enough for me. I have a k20a ED7 as a tracktool. So my main attention goes to this car ☠️
My goal is to reach 185hp in the EE9, I heard the engines aren’t that good, so this would be a good number

Some real nice parts, be interested to see how this turns out :nice:
