    Why A B16b Rather Than B18c In The EK9?

Update: Well all, I thought I'd give everyone an update, after having fitted the B16b in to my vintage Si, and running it for a couple of weeks. While my overall opinion seems to be generally positive, the car having a considerable amount more pull in just about every rpm range, and especially...

Hello, I'm interested in ordering a tune up kit which at least includes, the spark plugs, cap, rotor, and wires. Please let me know if these kits are still available. I'd like to order one as soon as possible. Thanks, Rene

    Why A B16b Rather Than B18c In The EK9?

Makes perfectly good sense. Us yanks do have something similar in the form of "Luxury" Tax on vehicles costing more than a certain amount, and we also have a "gas guzzler" Tax as well, but neither of those taxes applied to the engine specifications, but I can see how a State's Government could...

    Why A B16b Rather Than B18c In The EK9?

Care to explain this in a bit more detail? I'm curious to know why any car manufacturer would be motivated to produce a variant of one of their other automobile engines based on tax regulations. Especially given both versions are still classified in the 4 cylinder category. I'd perhaps be more...

MacBook Pro, running iOs Mountain Lion. When I first checked, the site would at least populate results with values, but this last time, it didn't even return any values. I'll keep at it.

    Why A B16b Rather Than B18c In The EK9?

Hey all, Really appreciate all of the kind replies, and very informative posts on both the ITR, and CTR. Of the many sites I've visited, I can honestly say it is here, in this forum, where I find it to be a great example of members whom do indeed possess a particular higher level of...

How much does your car weigh? And your cornering?

Just how much traction issues would be my question. I played with the site again, but for some reason, I couldn't get it to calculate any results. I'll try again later, when I have a bit more time. Thanks.

    Why A B16b Rather Than B18c In The EK9?

Looking at the site, I'm a bit confused about a couple things. It shows a few stats, e,g. horsepower. If the stat on the left (chassis 1), represents a B16b, then it shows an inaccurate hp representation at 174 hp, versus the actual 185 hp that the B16b really produces, and I don't see how those...

    Why A B16b Rather Than B18c In The EK9?

Yes they are. The LS 5th is a pretty popular mod in many circles from what I've read in other forums. This is a purposeful mod for those of us who would still like to take advantage of decent mpg, for our daily drivers. It's great for me, because I figure any exhilarated performance I may...

    Why A B16b Rather Than B18c In The EK9?

Outside of a few rather trollish replies, I'd have to say indeed. Thanks! From what I gather so far, it seems the consensus would point to the biggest reasons why Honda chose to go with a de-stroked version of their most venerable engine, was to keep things in perspective, by not out doing...

Sorry for the delay in my reply. I was actually taking quite some time to the site you provided. Thanks very much for that. Rene

B16b, mated to cable Y1 tranny, with LS 5th, 0.714. Final drive is I believe 4.266 The Y1 tranny I'm using, seems to have the identical gear ratios as the USDM S80 tranny of the ITR.

Thanks for the compliments, and for the sound advice. From earlier reading, I came across a story about how too much torque in a lighter chassis Civic may lead to the driver ending up in a ditch, coming out of a curve, thanks to having too much torque, which is yet another reason why it may...
