ive had this problem before on two honda civics, 98 and 99. after ten years they come on for no reason and they wont read a code. u cant clear the light by scanning it or disconnecting the battery. u have to take it to honda for an inspection. both customers did as u and just cut the light. call...

with 84m you should sleeve, but with a block gaurd and not being turbo u should be fine. just make sure the block gaurd has good enough coolent holes. back in the day nuformz block gaurds were the S**T, not everyone can drop $800 on sleeves.

ive always had problems with the b20, what cams are you running and i would also break out the dremal anyways.... make sure u clay it when all is said and done just to be sure.... cams are probably your issue. forgot to ask, b16 head or gsr?
