Ok, what offset and width would I need on my EK4 VTI? The tyre size I have in mind is 205/40 this seems to be a size which has a decent selection of tyre choice?

Please forgive my ignorance as my background is in bikes and I`m learning about tuning cars, I`ve sorted my suspension out :nice: and struggling to understand why a wheel and tyre of the same overall diameter with a shallower/stiffer sidewall and a bigger footprint doesn`t improve the handling...

I got it cheap so there is massive lose, the reason I got it was more to change the fuelling (like a powercommander on a bike) I have a ram air cold feed airbox set up that seems to be running lean at the higher speeds so I was hoping I could dial some more fuel in but this doesn`t seem to be...

I`ve purchased a vtec controller for my EK4 VTI and was just seeing if anyone has experience in either fitting or using one?

Turns out the noise was coming from the back not the front,so changed the anti roll bar links and the noise has gone.Now I have my shocks and springs:) I`m gonna have a look at fitting them today :cool:

Now is there a difference between the UK cars and the US models,as I can`t see a black can on the back of the block,all I can see is the pipe from the rocker box to the air inlet:confused:

Please correct me if I`m wrong,but in my experiance with bike engines they perform better if they don`t re-breathe their own oil mist(on my bike the breather is in the rocker covers)so we tend to blank off the inlet tract pipe and breath into a catch tank with a filter to let the air out,now...

Not from the shop,direct from the manufacturer. Spring rates don`t seem to have a universal measuring system across the world,this american site Suspension Spring Specialist, Inc. rates in hundreds of pounds,divide that by 2.2 (1kg=2.2lbs) and you similar figures to what I mentioned...

Thats a good comparision for a different measurement system rating there,for example your 10kg and 7kg springs could be say 7kg to move 1cm were my 60kg could be 60kg to move 10cm??

I`m having my new shocks built which will have ride height,bump,rebound and preload adjustment and the spring rate suggested to me was 80kg front and 60kg rear any thoughts on this,i use the car everyday for work with the view to tday it later.
