Guys .... the exhaust is like that for a reason! Think of its position in relation to the collector of the header ... straight as an arrow, right off the back bumper in the center. No bends. Straight. No bends = better flow. It's a race car, not a fashion statement :P Gotta love Spoon...

Thanks much for the input. I was thinking throttle body size might be an issue as well. I'm running the stock 62mm tb, and the B16A2 came with a 60mm. Seems it might be a stretch, allbeit not that big of one. I wonder if the B16B had a tb upgrade as part of the Type R program ... that info...

You're probably right ... but it's Spoon ... which makes it $60 US :wow: Still though, I have it for my N1 and it does what it's supposed to.

Hey guys, First post is a tech question ... how about that?! I'm looking at fitting an OEM intake system to my EK. The car is a 99 CX Hatchback with a 96-97 Spec B18C Spec-R w/S4C LSD Transmission. No P/S, no A/C, Hytech header, Custom test pipe, Spoon mid section & Spoon N1axle-back...

Spoon makes a silencer for the N1 exhaust. Cuts down the drone noises quite well. Plus, you can remove it whenever you hit the circuit. Very cost effective as well :nice:
