I've done a fair amount of research and googling on this subject and I'm still not quite 100% certain.
So I need to rebuild at least my passenger side outer CV joint on my driveshaft after I mangled the threads on it trying to get it out of the hub.
I may as well do both side while I'm there.
Trying to get new oem Honda ones would be a nightmare (being JDM only parts) and extortionate at a guess.
After asking around apparently I have a couple of options available.
1) MK1 CRV use the same outer CV joint? (can't find any information to back this up though)
2) 5th Gen BB6 Prelude CV joints fit as well (found a couple of threads where people used these)
Obviously I need the 36mm, 28 spline ends.
I have Non ABS hubs and shafts in my car. So I presume the shafts with an ABS ring wouldn't fit in the hub? Could I just knock the ABS ring off the end?
Am I also correct in saying that all the inner CV joints on B series cars are the same? Including the passenger side shaft to the half shaft?
Any solid information would be appreciated!
Thanks
