Just Going to copy most of my build from Civiclife onto here
Bought my first civic In April 2012 but went about it the wrong way Bought a 1.5lsi ek3 hatchback but insurance companies where giving me silly quotes of £5000+ so i sold it on and bought a 1.4 Hatchback took me quite a long time to find one that was clean enough that i could work with. Alot that i went and viewed where burning oil or rusted away to nothing so after a long search this is what i ended up with i wanted a different colour that there wasnt many of in my area and really liked the mint green or grey or light blue in civics and ended up seeing this grey one and had to have it.
This is what it looked like when i first bought it
Needed some lows , looked around and decided on buying some coilovers off my local lowerks.com formerly known as NI Coilovers , got the front 2 coilovers in first and then was late for work so had to slap it all back together and drive around with front decked for 2 days and the back standard lol
eventually got the back done needed a new LCA as encountered seized bolts on my way
Then purchased a set of GTC Rays
Got Sick of the peashooter excuse of an exhaust and since money was tight opted for a cheap Japspeed Back Box
Few we photos way a mates civic in the North Coast Area .....
Then Some pictures at a local cruise held in coleraine at the retail park , Few civics at it probably some of some folk on here as well
The cruise was a good turn out and a good chance to get a big civic photo haha
Few Inteior shots of the car below most of the interior is standard ej9 interior nothing special on the upside no airbags
Shortly after this i got sick of the standard OEM grill and i ordered a Ek9 Replica grill and it definitely looked far better
Shortly after this MOT was coming up in December here so i sent the car to get checked over months before as insurance was going to run out of course being my luck ran into a small bad point underneath the car sent it to the bodyshop as bad rust was found in the passenger side rear inner arch so it had to be sorted ASAP before it caused any serious damage. pics below .
So The whole passenger side inner arch was cut out and a new one replaced and welded in after this the whole car including both rear arches where undersealed with Hammerite with added waxyol to make sure winter didnt have an impact on the car
After this the car was screaming out for square plates so i purchased a set of Import plates and a mugen lip
Got the mugen lip on shortly after improved the car dramatically in my opinion facelift and mugen lip is such a win IMO
After this i booked the car in at ATM tints in ballymoney to have the back 3 windows tinted
After this the car didnt get alot of attention for a while as my insurance ran out and am waiting until late February to insure it again. But while it was off the road i purchased a set of genuine EK9 Badges from Honda for it
After this i took the car up to MOT centre and it passed with flying colours no advisorys no nothing car sat well , few compliments on the condition underneath the car from the MOT men ,
Shortly After this i ordered a Buddyclub Short Shifter for the car off buddyclub.eu , few days later it came
Thats really it so far Plans are a Megan Racing Cat-back system and then get the bonnet resprayed same colour and then colour code bump strips handles and wing mirrors , Fit D15B inlet that was purchased , this isnt as detailed as it should be but updates from now on will be detailed properly all comments and criticism welcome
