I have installed my Honda Civic Type Rx pedals. After a couple issues that involved me cutting of the bracket and welding it on to the pedal (dont ask) I have finally installed them. Here is a pic:
I kind of messed up on the clutch rivit in the upper left (its not center) but besides that I think I did ok. No you are not seeing things, the accelerator pedal IS CLOSER to the clutch. I bent it this way so now I can heel-toe shift... with out even using my heel! Just the side of my foot thank you very much.
It looks better than what I originaly had:
The only problem I have now is that the accelerator pedal does not sit aligned with the other pedals. It accually its about 2 inches (5.08 cm for your brits) lower that the rest of the pedals! To give you an example of how low this is, when I have the clutch depressed all the way down, it is aligned with the accelerator.
Now it wasn't this low on the stock Honda Civic or Intergra accelerator that was in there to start with.
My question is, does the accelerator normally sit 2 inches (5.08 cm) below the clutch pedal on a (real) Honda Civic Type R?
