will any b16a2 run with any b16a2 ecu

if anyone has followed my last thread i've had a lot of problems with the standard engine in my ek4. i have now bought a new engine. it is another b16a2 but its been taken out of a eg civic. the engine had been transplanted into that. i just wanted to make sure that it would just be a case of swapping engines plugging it all in and away i go.
if you could give me some words of wisdom it would be muchly appreciated :nice:
 
i almost laughed when i saw this post but after i read it, i realised you were being genuine. yes, any B16A ecu would work. very slight differences might be in the mapping as well as slightly different vtec and rev limit points. other than that, an ecu from an eg would most likely be OBDI. bare in mind that you would need a conversion harness if your car is OBDII.
 
yeh he's just sent me the code which is an OBD1 code. think mine is a OBD2 thats what i was worried about as i'm not clued up on electronics. where abouts could i get a conversion harness from?
 
im sorry this will sound stupid but how will i tell? like i say i've only just got into honda's really and i'm on a steep learning curve
