Dont get me wrong i love honda and will probably always drive them! I really really really want an ek9 now, but i paid £7k for my 54plate ep3 with 30k on clock. I just cant get my head around paying that for a 14yr old car with 60k'ish on the clocks. I know they are rare and ep3's are so common thats why i dont want another but i could get an evo 5/6 for £7k in good condition (if i could insure). Maybe i need to drive one or something i dont knowww lol help me!! :please:

Apparently people think they aren't worth enough and have to break them to make money.

...do you really need one? I dont "need" one, but they are one low cost race car for sure; beats keeping a porsche or corvette on the track.

want not need :)

what are they like compared to ep3's?

1992 to 2000 civics have independent suspensions; refined from year to year until 2000. Pre or Post 92-2000 would lack in road hugging abilities.

All depends on your needs and use of the car really. Im all about suspension and traction for the track.

i think the are miles better looking than ep3 too shite 1s are making 3-3500 in ireland and the good 1s are only making 5000 if there lucky

If you don't think it's worth the money then I don't think you want one as much as you think. :p

Pre 92 also have independent suspension......... EE/EF/ED:nice:
All these cars pre 92 hug the road just as well.

Can I slap you with a wet fish because ek9 is a pretty good car and its best known for it been a proper drivers car and its made to out handle you evos and subarus with very little tuning costs on top of that its hela reliable and ep3 are poop and for the price now its well worth it.

Buy an Ek9 and expect to loose money, to be fair now is a great time to buy one if you can garage it over winter. You can pick up mint facelifts for 5K! Well worth the money for such a competent car.

The EK9 is simply an outstanding package out of the box for a high powered small engined car. The original I believe is alot closer to Honda's roots than then newer offerings and feels it too.

Also, the parts are worth around £5000 mark as standard when broken for parts as people want the Recaro's, steering wheels etc.

They are expensive when you compare them to what you buy in todays market though.

Think of ek9's like cocaine,
small, white, can be a bit pricey... but bloody exiting !

That must make all the people breaking them dodgy backstreet dealers, cutting up a pure product to be mixed with god knows what just to make a few quid.

:D

In which case, Duncan must be Pablo Escobar.

You are correct Sir! :nice:

I dont know why I always stop at 92'...I should culture myself more into the history of Honda civics.

Haha gav love the qoute :nice:

And ek9's are worth as much as some1 is willing to pay if they are still hold 5 to 7k still after 14 yrs isnt that telling you something

They are far more advanced honda's they neva break down and 1 of the things to put a smile on any1's face who love cars etc etc
