My friend is running a B18B bottom half and making like 190whp just with stock type-r head. My question wihch is the best route the Spoon Sports Storker kit or the B18B bottom half ?Bearing and rod bolts would have to be change so it can rev safely to 8500RPM. Give me you feedback as i want to do some modification soon. what if i am running the stroker kit do i need to change the ECU out of my car also and can the spoon ECU for the B16B still use with this engine? I know everybody gonna say Hondata thats in the pipeline just asking question as i am doing some research. My ultimate goal is to have a replica of the Spoon Sports EK9 maybe not making 260ps but aleast 220-230ps

i havent got the experience in either of the options but by going for the spoon kit you are essentially turning your 16B into a B18. With the upside of having spanking new bottom end........

However i do have experience on standalone ECU's such as motec which is what im currently running on my 3sgte starlet and the wonders of fine tuning....

i would definietly go for a standalone as your goals will be far more in reach with one. Thats a fact.

When funds allow im looking to eventially do the same as you. I will be going for the spoon kit route.

Thanks mate. My friend car is awesome in sound and power.

both are great options, cost should be also considered, how much will each option cost you?
