As above really,

Recently purchased Legend twin pots and will be needing to up size my discs to 282mm. I have heard from a good mate that grooved/drilled discs have the occasional stories of cracking under heavy braking. Is it worth going for plain discs and which ones to go for?

Cheers

Depends what you are doing with the car ?

A good plain disc would do the trick or a set of slotted disc. I think Spoon do Slotted ones not sure who else

Tend on using it mainly on b road blasts and a few track days. Slotted discs worth looking into?

i had no trouble using plain 282's discs and i drive mine pretty hard sometimes :)

Good set of pads and plain disc's should be kool mate.

I use brembo blanks, non-grooved, non-drilled on the fronts.
I usem them on track without issues...on street it should be fine. :)

As said keith,OEM or blank discs. Mine held up very well on track

:nice:

Check out my group buy in the for sale section, I should be able to sort you out on a good price for plain or grooved discs for your upgrade.

ran 282's on my last EK4.. standard disc's and ferodo pad's .. .worked a treat !!

HI,
I Have Honda Civic EK and i bought MG ZR 282mm front calipers and 260mm rear calipers.
I need to buy new disk but i dont know if MG ZR disk is compatible on my EK4.

ive run nothing but plain discs with legend calipers over last several years, ebc i didnt like as deteriorated quickly but the 2 sets of oem mgzs i bought were excellent and lasted long time, still have oem mgzs discs that have prob 10k on them if interested, can also sort you endless pads which again have same mileage, neither of these 2 have been used on track

Just go plain dixcel or STD. All the buddyclub cup racecars run plain discs and have no probs.

I can supply the 282mm discs to fit the kit for £70.00 delivered if you're interested.
They can either be plain or grooved for no extra cost.
