Whats your opinion on Motorbikes?

dont get into riding illegally off road, things go bad quickly they can take your bike off you and crush it.

i ride in enduros, there just like the car rallys but on bikes and there is come technical bits in there as well. all the entrys are split up into different classes. so there are classes for people new to off road riding.

there is various motorcross tracks around the northwest, i dont know were many are though. i sometimes go to the one in preston called TRAX. but only occasionally.

the wirral off road club do race practice days. basically its a full on enduro corse but you can go round at your own pace and your not against the clock. at the end of the day you they have a little race for an hour. there are still marshalls on site and stuff. heres a few other links. should be able to find some motor cross tracks by you from them.

Thanks dude:nice: What sort of protective gear will I need for off road. I know the basics like helmet, goggles boots etc... but what else...and roughly how much will I be likely to spend?

armor, get armor for your body & legs, you're more liable to break bones & dislocate joints in an off road excursion.

it depends really, you can go for cheap stuff and not spend that much, but boots wise that could mean there really uncomfortable. iv just bought some new boots for £250 and they are really comfortable and flexible but still protective. boots are the only bit id say spend abit of money on.

the rest can be bought fairly cheap. in total about 500/600 quid i think you could get the lot for.

protective gear wise, i think the body armour that you wear more as a shirt with the spine protectors are the best. knee pads are helpful as well. you could go the whole hog and get knee braces, but id only get them if i had a dogy knee, a simple pad is ok for me.

hope that helps dude. its an expensive sport but its bloody good when you get going.

Good bike to start the Honda CB600 Hornet.
I bought one a month ago and the bike is perfect very easy to ride and learn.

In a bike you feel what is fast :)

bikes are cool i got honda vfr 400 r (nc30) they can be deadly if ur a prat but i recon its every 1 else on the road u got to watch out for because they will pull out on you etc. i had a women pull out on me and i still dont know how i missed her.
