i recently got informed by a friend that he thinks that im running a 96spec dc2 s80 with 4.928 FD

i was told that it was a 98spec dc2 when i bought it and i never questioned it since but i am doing around 3800 - 3900 when at 60 MPH i was sometimes wondering if its only a 4.7, it is super short:p

im running stock enkei's on a 45 profile tyre if that helps

here's a vid if it helps

YouTube - leeK9's B18 EK9

Yup, from the sounds of it, it's the '96 ITR (same as EK9) box + 4.928 that you are running.

That gearbox and F.D combo seem spot on, very nice pull through every gear.

mine is very simlilar to that....on a standard fd where would your rpm be at 60kph

so a 4.9 final drive in an ek9 would give the same kind of kick that ya get from drivin a dc2??

Not quite, but the difference is certainly noticeable :)

does a stock 96 itr box come with a 4.4 like the ek9 then.and which is the better for acceleration 4.7 or 4.9

Yes, '96 box comes with the 4.4 FD. 4.928 would offer slightly better acceleration than the 4.785.
