Hey guys, what company trolley jacks do you guys use and how much were they and where they were purchased from? Any recommendations..

Cheers

I have a nice snapon one. Its a low rider one. So it can fit under almost anything. And it can lift a car high enough to drop the motor out from under if needed. Great jack. Only problem is it weights so much its a pain to manover around and the cost of course. Anything with Snapon on it is very sore.

cheap rolson one! does the trick.. must treat myself to a nice low one when i get my garage built :)

$20 2 ton Sears brand jack. Small, portable. It doesn't lift as high or as fast as the larger, more expensive jacks, but I'm always taking this thing to different places.
Blocks of wood solve the problem of not lifting very high.

Currently just a sealey 1.5 ton jack - need to get a low entry one though, need someone to lift the 9 a couple of mm before I can get this under the jacking points!

Only problem is, a decent low entry is looking around the 4-500 mark!!

I have also started using Portable ramps, Although this is no good for my EK3 as it is too low but it works amazin with my mums car. Well unless your having to take the wheel off:lol:

i have a us pro tools aluminium one, use it for rallying so it gets lots of use, low entry and high lift, can pick up one handed also.

about £125

you can get cheap copies for about £75 but my one of them fell apart! lol

Any more details on that one mate? I'm in the market for a decent one and sounds like what Im looking for. Googled it but no joy...

thats the one on their site,

i searched ebay but only found copys with one piston, mine has two and is very well made. be careful as I bought a lemon before this one, they look the same but my latest one is sooo much better

Ive a cheapo 3 tonne one..does the job but id never trust them.always have to put axle stands under before i do anything.:)

Any cheap tire-change jack found in the back of most honda's will do that for you. Just that and a little piece of wood or steel as a buffer, so you can still use your jack on the OEM jacking point.

Whatever jack you buy - be sure to check/tighten all the bolts before use, I had one off ebay, a 2.5T one, never checked it, nearly got a year out of it before one of the bolts sheared as I went to jack up the car, first lift at Brands to swap tyres :((
