hi guys, just looking for some advice, iam looking to get the most out of my b18c its been work in progress for a wile now so ive done a few bits,

ive fitting a full fujitsubo rm01a decated ive fitted a genuine mugen air intake skunk2 2 inlet with a matched 70mm tb

at the min its running a stock 98spec manifold iam looking to upgrade but yet to find the right one!!

my question is what to do next, iam planning to get a socketed p28 and get it mapped .

ive seen a lot of people upgrade the fuel rails to aem and injectors, what sort of benefit will I get from doing this? and if there any other mods I can do,i want to keep it N/A and not looking to do cam work at the moment ,
any input would be a grate help

thanks

You will see no benifits from fitting an AEM fuel rail and larger injectors, these are only needed for set ups requiring larger fuel demands such as forced induction.

Your next step should be a remap to accommodate your current mods, this will release the full potential of your upgrades.

I would get a good exhaust manifold such as skunk2 or Toda. I agree with what's said above that a remap is so good. It doesn't just give you more peek but gives it so much more in the midrange.
It's a shame your not local to me or I could have taken you out to show you.

Sell the Massive 70mm throttle body off and fit a standard 62mm B18C one. Will perform better with the stock 62mm.

As said leave the fuel system alone unless its broken in anyway. Stock Fuel system is plenty for low/mild N/A tunes.

Look for a decent Ex manifold like Toda/Mugen or just buy a Tegiwa Toda Replica.

Then just get it mapped to make ever thing you have work together.

thanks for ur advice, why would u say not to use the 70mm tb,surly with the matched skunk2 inlet its going to show a benefit over standard set up?
as for the other comments above iam finding it hard to get hold of what I see the be a top spec manifold people just don't seem to wanna sell them,i have herd a lot of good things about the toda rep but it sorta puts me off that its a rep,i want my car to look as good as it goes that's why ive spent a lot of time tracking down the parts ive got,i would give my right arm for a genuine toda but there like gold dust!

Do some searching. An N/A 1.8 really doesn't need a 70mm TB its just overkill. Even the spoon "70mm" ones are still 62mm at the butterfly, just taper bored out at the enterance.

The tegiwa rep seems to be getting great reviews all over the world. Im never one to go for copy's or reps but from all the reviews so far its a great manifold for the money regardless.

Sending my dc2 tb to maxbore.com 70mm tapered to 65mm at the plate
